And the answer is simple...don't give them any business.

If you ask a car dealer a stupid question or make a ridiculous offer, you can certainly say you've lost his respect altogether just like anyone there to earn money really

I was the OP.

I didn't ask for anything ridiculous. I asked to be treated with some respect rather than be "intimidated" any time frustration was expressed.

Dealer was taking forever to "fix" the car and wouldn't give clarity regarding the issue. Wouldn't let me speak to the mechanic, and when he did give me the courtesy car..it too was faulty.

I spoke to Citizens Advice and the finance company and they are now dealing with it.

Plus..People were catching on to which dealer it was and I wasn't comfortable instigating more intimidation from this dealer while they had my car.

Good point, any 'bad press' the dealer may perceive (no matter how careful you word things) from your point will only aggravate him further.

Good luck with it all though.

Thanks Fastra.

Figured I'd remove it to prevent any further risk.

However, I did speak to the finance company who told me they will look after me in this sense and the vehicle. CAB told me my rights and I feel that if this company does screw over my car.. I will be covered in the sense that I've only driven it for a week. They won't be able to prove the damage wasnt there when they sold it.

Either way. Fingers crossed I get the car back tomorrow - It's been a majorly distressing time. If it all goes down the toilet, I'm confident I'll go to the Small Claims Court
