Hi all. New to the forums but been around for years. Just looking for some advice and or recommendations.
I'm in the process of looking for a new car but it has been around 6 months and no luck; partly due to the fact all I can seem to come across is basic Ford Fiestas or the likes.
I really don't know what I want and hoping for some inspiration.
Previous cars (the whole three of them)
Renault Clio; My first car. Owned for 3 year and done the job and couldn't have asked for more.
Seat Ibiza Cupra: Had for 2 year and enjoyed every minute of it until I got fed up of replacing sensors and the playdoh interior trims.
BMW E46 M3: The car I dreamed of owning since I was 15. 8 years later I was able to afford one and after 3 years and only covering 5000 miles it was time to sell.
So here I am, lost in which direction to head.
I am after something with low(ish) miles that I can have for a good few years and still be reasonable when I come to sell (I do about 2k max a year anyway,) sporty? I am not 100% stuck on 10k, I don't mind going a little over if it means something better. Something that stands out from the norm a little would be nice; I don't want a belly button.
Anyway I hope you can help.

Since you do such low miles, you may as well buy a high mile model and save some money. By the time you come to sell, the mileage would be average for the year, so your depreciation will have been minimal.
What made you sell the M3? Might give an insight into what you want next...
Given the mileage you do, I suggest either a lightweight drivers machine or a big engine thing with many many cylinders.
Any more info on what type of driving you do? Practicality requirements?

I only really wanted something lower so that the interior is in better shape (don't get me wrong some of the higher milage cars are immaculate but they seem to be fewer) and that I don't need to start spending money on replacing parts that haven't needed to be done. I sold it as I had gotten to the stage where little things were starting to annoy me. After spending as much on maintenance as I did on the car did I thought it was time for someone else to have as much enjoyment out of it as I did. I mean I spent more on servicing it than my last two cars cost me to buy. I'd had one and thats all the mattered to me, my affordable dream car.
I do a bit of both but more town driving than motorway, not heavy with the foot but it's alway nice having a bit power. MPG isn't an issue and a 4 seater would be more practical for those 'just incases' but not necessary.

Okay then. So you resent high servicing costs, want some poke, and a car out of the norm... how about a Peugeout RCZ GT? Decent handling, look good, 4 seats.
Or for greater driving pleasure, Renaultsport Megane 265 would fit the bill. If it's not too old, a BMW 130i would be a good choice too.

Yeah if it wasn't for that I guess I'd still have it. A 1 series would be good but can't seem to find a decent coupe, they all seem to be diesels. Or for greater driving pleasure, Renaultsport Megane 265 would fit the bill. If it's not too old, a BMW 130i would be a good choice too.
Champ White fn2? Good/bad/waste of money? Someone recommended one of those but I've seen a few and I can't help thinking its just a civic thats got less power than my washing machine
