Hi I have a small bit of hammerite paint to apply to the underneath of my car. It says on the paint tin ideal application temperature 8c-25c. It is 6 degrees celsius outside today will it be ok?

I'd wait until it's warmer.

Alternatively, if the sun comes out then roll the car onto its roof and let solar heating do its thing.

It doesn't dry when it's cold. I found that out first hand.

I'd lob the tin of hammerste at the bin and use something half-decent, tbh.

I use Rustoleum 769 primer, if I want something brush-on and relatively cosmetic. Or, if I'm just looking for long-lasting protection, something like 3M body schutz - it's available in aerosol.

Whatever you do use, make sure you're not splodging it on top of flaky rubbish and muck.
