Parked up in the public car park in Woodstock today, purposefully chose to take the wife's 100HP as its smaller, so easier to get our little one in and out of and less likely to get dinged... Purposefully chose a space on the end of a row to avoid having people on both sides, purposefully parked centrally in the space.

Came back and someone's whacked our rear bumper, on the rear corner on the end of the row side. Quite hard too - rubbed the paint off in several places, the paint has cracked/crazed and one of the rear sensors is loose. Looked around for the possible culprit, couldn't see any obvious suspects. No CCTV.

Then I noticed that a piece of paper was slid under the windscreen wiper on the front screen. However, the piece was completely blank. Not rained, so no ink will have run, holding it up to the light you can see nothing has ever been written on it.

So am I right in thinking that the person who rammed my car then stopped and saw people had seen them do it, so left a blank piece of paper to trick anyone who'd seen the collision into thinking they were honest and had left me their details to avoid them leaving me a good Samaritan note dobbing them in? frown

It sounds that way to me.

£100 should see a half bumper respray at an independent body shop.

Or how about...

Wife reversed into something last time she used the car, and hoped you'd not notice. You go out shopping and she hatches a plan. She follows you, watches you leave the car and then leaves a blank piece of paper on the windscreen, knowing that you'll come to the wrong conclusion but getting herself out of a pickle.

Never underestimate how devious women can be.

biggrin Nope - I looked around it this morning as was checking the tyre pressures - plus she's better at parking than me!
