I'm currently writing an essay about the extent to which the French car industry collaborates with it's competitors. I've written about Peugeot Citroen (PSA) working with Ford (diesel engines), BMW (petrol engines and hybrid systems), Toyota (city car platform) but I am a little confused on the link with GM.

It looks like they were working on an agreement to work together in Europe in 2012 and General Motors (GM) bought a 7% stake in PSA, which they later sold. Originally they were going to share 4 different platforms but I can't seem to find out if they are still working together?

The latest I can find is Carlos Tavares saying early last year that the alliance is important in the turn around of PSA, but I am reading other articles suggesting that PSAs new agreement with Dongfeng in China may replace the alliance with GM.

I'll keep researching myself for an answer, but I thought maybe someone on here could quickly shed a little light on the current situation between GM and PSA.
