I'm thinking about buying a polo and I was just wondering what differences the models have like the twist, S, bluemotion, match, sport and E.

Is this the same for the older models?

Try to find the appropriate brochure on eBay, or check the spec of each model on Autotrader. You're asking somebody to do your research on a fairly mundane car which nobody will do.

From memory...

E - poverty spec, wind up windows, gutless engine.
S - electric windows, maybe aircon.
Match - Decent spec
Sport - probably pseudo sporty seats and some plastic appendages.
Bluemotion - reasonable spec, 'green' aero st, good on fuel.

1.2 - 55, 60 or 70 BHP, sounds good but very slow.
1.4 - 75 BHP. Slow and thirsty.
1.4 TDI - 70 BHP, slow and frugal.
1.9 TDI - 100 or 130 BHP (in rare GT form).

I'd have a 1.9 TDI Sport (100bhp) or, if you can find one, a 1.9 GT TDI with 130 BHP.
