So, amongst other cars, I'm looking at buying a Leon FR.

I'm looking for a facelifted mark 2 car, around an 11 plate, with around 50kish.

Seen one local to me, a 140bhp model, and was wandering if anyone could point out anything i should be looking out for, or even point me towards a good buyers guide.

Thanks.

Are you sure its a 140? IIRC most of the facelift ones (2009 onwards) are 170s? My girlfriend has a 61 reg CR170 FR Plus with 35,000 miles on it. She's owned it since 12 months and 8,000 miles without any dramas **touch wood** and the only thing is occasionally the DPF light comes on and goes into restricted performance if it hasn't been driving out of town for a month or so. Apparently a simple sensor replacement can rectify this as they are a known fault but we've found giving it a blast once a week or so does the job

Very sure it's a 140, put the plate through mycarcheck as I was quite surprised too.

The price is good and when remapped the 140 is supposed to be less leggy than a 170 due to the smaller turbo, so not too fussed tbh.

I'd likely get a DPF delete on before a map anyway, so I'm hoping that shouldn't be an issue before I do.

Thanks for the info.
