We have a wee Peugeot 206 1.4 petrol, y-reg, for my wife. Runs great, 100% reliable, well serviced, 123k miles, motd few weeks ago. (I mean the Peugeot).

Stop dashlight has come on along with oil light and brake warning lt.
Have checked all fluid levels, visual inspection for leaks, damaged wiring, etc, all looks fine. Another site refers to this in which the temp guage reads high at the same time but this is not happening with our Pug.

Leads me to think it's a only a service due indicator.

Any PHers offer any info?

Sorry if this is in wrong forum.

Hmm curious

I'd be tempted to undo the battery for a bit and see if that clears it

Make sure you have the radio code etc, do this at your own risk!

Our 406 has the stop light appearing occasionally but it's a dodgy wire. I dare not touch it in case it breaks more. *French electrics grumble grumble*

Checked battery voltage, 12.6v, and 14.2v when alternator charging it.

Will find keycode and discon battery for a bit next wk. Not bothering me at all but my wife's a bit spooked about driving it as years ago she was in a car which went on fire on a motorway. Thx for reply.

Silly Q but is it worth picking up a Bluetooth OBD dongle and checking it for fault-codes? They are like a fiver and I guess you have a smartphone or the missus has one you can link it to.

To the aficionados - are those a waste of time vs a cheap dedicated reader or not?

They are excellent vfm.
I've got two of these; on/off button so can be left on the car permanently, they are ace.
