It's a mass produced M3. Let's get real here, it was just an accident.

Plus the fact it will be a total loss after being in the water anyway.

I find it incredible that somebody could stand there recording the incident with no efforts to help.

Not sure if actually serious or attempt at humour.

It's not like nobody else was helping.

If you end up parked in water are you supposed to open the windows in order to get the doors open? Something to do with equally the pressure I thnk.

That is assuming you remain calm and collected enough to remember exactly what to do while the car sinks.

Would electric windows actually work if the electronics were submerged?

Daily Mail "woman had one minute before car plunged to the bottom of the harbour".

Picture says: "man standing next to car in less than waist deep water"

To be fair we dont know who was taking the pics and to be honest would anyone have been able to help anymore than the police in the water?

Still an accurate statement from the Mail though - it IS on the bottom, it's just the roof's still showing wink

I feel like a total git for saying this but assuming there isn't something else to the story that we don't know this reads to me as:

"Woman drives car too fast into water, then doesn't know how to exit car safely"

if she had kids in the car or whatever then some panic is understandable but i think it should be common knowledge for anyone that drives near water that your car door WILL open once the pressure equalizes. Or just wind the window down (the electrics would probably keep working long enough) and let the water come in and get out through the window. It's a harbour in NZ so I doubt it was that cold.

Maybe I'm just evil.
