BMW 645CI misfire
Discussion
Hi. I have an '04 645 Ci with a misfire on 4 cylinders, which only happens when cold. If I turn off the engine & restart after 30 seconds, all is fine.
I recently had to replace a faulty voltage regulator. Is is likely that a faulty voltage regulator may have damaged some coil packs?
Thanks

Well the obvious thought with a V8 would be that a misfire on 4 cylinders would be likely to be coming from 4 cylinders on the same bank, surely...? In which case, consider parts of the system that are shared for each bank of cylinders. How do you know it's 4 though?I recently had to replace a faulty voltage regulator.
