When I bought my M3 it it was almost standard, which is what I was looking for. It had a big bore backbox which was quickly changed back to a OEM.

The other thing that it had were some aftermarket clear indicators all round. They stood out like a sore thumb. So I've finally changed them all back to the original, OEM BMW ambers.

Before...

After...

Now to sort out the misty headlights. hehe

Any profit you make on the clear indicators can be put towards a decent set of number plates.

Christ on a banana bike give it a rest please?

Bloke posts up pictures of a decent car which hes de-chaving and all you guys can point out is the number plates? Hand in your PH cards on the way out.

Pistonheads: Correct number plate fonts matter.

OP, Love the car and I like the amber blinkers too. I think its grand that you are taking it back to standard.

Much prefer the ambers.

I prefer cars to look their age not be dressed up as a bit more modern than they really are.

Im not sure about the font but the spacing is wrong. There shoud be a space after the numbers. This is an offence and I'm sure the BiB can fine you etc for it.

Never mind the chavvy numberplate. Why are the windows steamed up - and an erect penis being shown in the middle of the windscreen?

OP - What are you up to?

Bloke attempts to de chav his car should consider changing the plates to ones which aren't chav! The spacing is illegal and the raised fonts just look wrong.

Points regarding the plates, typical, boring and who cares.

But this however is a very valid point indeed:

Looks good although I always thought that clear lenses were standard for that model, but I'm far from any form of expert!

Looks like a tax disc holder? Why put it under the rear view mirror? Thats not chavvy at all wink

Or maybe the windscreen just wants to match the headlights.

Why does anyone still have a tax disc holder in their car at all, let alone in such an odd place? smile

Don't believe you.
Look. More evidence.

As well as the person taking the photo - there are clearly 2 other grown men looking into the windows. You can see their reflections on the bodywork.
They wouldn't be ogling in just to look at a crooklok now would they.

And you are in a deserted outdoor car park..

Just saying.....

Maybe they wanted to check out the historic security feature that the OP applied to their period car.
