If so, what's the real world mpg like? Testing driving various cars for an impending purchase but I'm fed up of the bullst mpg figures. Every car I've tested so far get nothing like the quoted figures, the evoque being the worst!

Appreciate the figures are achieved under lab conditions but it's still a con!

Just loook at this page with real world figures meticulousely written down by car owners.

It's in german but you'll get the idea, skip the first page as those are most likely hyper-milers.

Conditions like Autobahn and city driving are considered, as well as winter temperatures.

We had one for a week back in August - my wife was considering one to replace her A5 (also a 2.0 tdi).

While I don't remember it being particularly heavy on fuel, the performance from the 2.0 tdi wasn't impressive compared with the A5, so you'd probably end up booting it more to get it going, so MPG would take a big hit.

My wife ended up with another A5.

Depends on the type of driving and driving style, but I've found my average overall on "new cars" - i.e. ones with co2 bks is the extra urban "figure" minus 35%.
