Having a Mad Moment What car for £2500?

Hello - I sold my old Land Rover and I've just decided I need a new car - not a "proper new motor" just something I can enjoy

SO ... suggestions please.

This week's SOTW looks interesting.
Maybe an old toyota pickup
Maybe an MX5

Or .... what would make you smile on a Saturday morning

For that money, a Toyota MR2 Mk2 rev 3+ in NA mode would be a good giggle.

I've done the MX5 thing and liked it but the robustness of the Rev2 Turbo I had for a short while some years back is appealing now.

Plus, pops up lights FTW.

American pick up with a fruity exhaust. Saw an old V6 one yesterday - didn't catch the make but it still sounded great.

My Rev 2 turbo was for sale a while back but it's not anymore as I'm keeping it I can heartily recommend one but most of the ebay ones are dire.

Except for the grey one at 2200. That looks very good.

I have just spent the morning browsing the classifieds, I don't need anything but I've been drawn to:

MX5
MR2 Roadster
Jag XJR
Merc CLK
Ford Puma

Hmm the MR2 sounds interesting - like a baby version of the Nobles I've had.

The CLK is a lovely car hewn from granite. Hadn't realised you could get one in that price range..

And the MX5 is the one I keep going back to.
