hello everyone

i applied to have my private registration to be put on retention and sent off the relevant forms log book mot etc to dvla about 2 weeks ago

today i have received a new log book and mot certificate with a replacement reg number for the donor vehicle

i have just checked my bank account and the cheque for the fees has NOT been cashed?

will the retention document follow after and when will they cash the cheque?

seems strange what they have done

any advise appreciated

What advice to you want exactly? You'll get your retention certificate through and your account will be debited at some point. Not really sure there's any problem for you to concern yourself with. smile

i thought everything comes at once
if it comes separately thats ok
but you would have thought they would cash the cheque straight away what if i had no money left and the cheques bounced
any way thanks for clearing it up

The retention certificate is sent separate. It normally arrives within a few days of the new log book.

DVLA take a few weeks.to cash the cheque. They don't wait for it to clear or anything.
