Reg transfers and MOT certificate

Morning guys - quick question. I've recently removed the private plate off my car in preparation for sale. I sent my previous MOT certificate away with the forms as I thought I had to but they haven't sent a replacement. The cars has been sold and is being picked up today so how do I get a replacement certificate with the correct reg number from an MOT station as it was MOTd with the private plate on so won't be in the system under the new plate?
Also the person who has bought the car is putting her plate on so do we need to send the MOTs for both her car with the plate and my car to DVLA too?! Surely it's all electronic?

The mot comes separately from the v5. Mine was a day or so later, albeit with the wrong number plate on it.
