Around 5-7k.

Rag top....springs all but here eh, bit o poke etc.
Dont like mx5's at all......had a chim a while ago but its too much $$$ for my budget this time around. Just a weekend throw it around car for fun when the suns out etc.
Please dont shoot me but I quite like a TF.....I know, I know HGF etc......and wait for it...an XK8!
Had a 320 SLK a while ago, so thats out. MR2....maybe BUT OH says she's perhaps leaning towards a bigger convertible as opposed to a TF/MR2. Havent seen a S2000 in the flesh, so thats a maybe....whaddoooyathink?

1st generation Audi TT still looks good, and there's a wide choice of engines.
BMW Z4 can be had as well, but the looks are a bit marmite.

Personally i'd be looking at the Boxster.

Slow day - tell me about it, time just doesn't seem to be moving.

If you like TF's why not get one, get a VVC and you'd still be way under budged. Change the HG just to make sure, add some breathing mods etc and you'll get a bit more 'go' + you'd still have lots of money to spare!

That sort of budget should get you a very nice S-Series TVR - solid reliable Ford mechanicals, great noise, adequate go and chuckable handling.

You could also pick up a half decent Chimaera for that budget.

I could understand playing it safe with a Z3 or something as a daily driver, but for a weekend toy I'd live a little (although FWIW my S3 was one of the most reliable cars I've owned and they're appreciating now).

Theres a coupla nice looking porkers down deep darkest Cornwall....a 2.7 and an S...?

I am not going to buy another Tiv.....I was going to go for a Tuscan, then decided on a full convertible like the Tam...But Wifey said 15k, too much for a sunny days runabout, so hence my leaning towards say a TF BUT the OH had never seen one b4 and we did today and she said piggin heck, small innit! And there just behing it was a cherry red XKR!
