Just having a look at the PH home page and I noticed Chris Harris's blogs are still on there, the last one being a 'farewell' blog from October last year.

I know he was doing something with videos but the only thing I've found with a quick search is 'Drive +' which seems to have very few hits on it judging by the video views so presumably that's not the main thrust of his work.

So where is he, is he back working for a magazine somewhere? (I only get Car these days so if he's back at Evo I'd never know).

Search for "Chris Harris On Cars" on YouTube. Hours of entertainment. Many tyres were harmed in the making of those features.

Looks like his gone independant somehow? As above, search for his CHoC channel, some great new ones including a Car of the Year and a superb one on Bloodhound SSC.

Richard Hammond is well suited to Top Gear. It's the humour between the presenters that makes the show.

Whilst good in his own way, Chris Harris has no place on Top Gear.

Ah, not sure how I missed that! That looks a bit more lively than the one I found (in terms of video hits)!

How does that make money though?

Agree entirely - the Chris Harris for Top Gear/Prime Minister/Pope calls always make me smile. I've just watched his AMG C Class video and it is excellent and very interesting, and his presentation is ideal for the more technical style.

I enjoyed it and thought it was a great video but he's not charismatic like the TG presenters and would be a huge turn off for 90% of viewers.

Chris Harris himself said he wouldn't want to present on Top Gear.

I read on jalopnik a post by (I think) jf musial. Harris is writing for good wood and doing vids for them and also jalopnik. Apparently he also helps write car adverts and does driving for TV as well as helping with suspension set up for manufacturers.

How much of that is accurate I couldn't say

He also set himself up on Patreon for a bit of crowd funding, and he works for Goodwood writing articles, and also writes for Jalopnik too. YouTube revenue seems to be a pretty closely guarded secret by all those who use it to be honest.. not sure how much, if anything he makes from it. I think you need to be really into the millions of subscribers to do well off YouTube revenue.
