Starting a post

Hi Everyone,

I have joined today to try and find out some info on where would be the best places in London for supercar spotting. I am taking my 11 year old son for his birthday weekend and his only mission in life is to see as many amazing cars as possible. Obviously, i have no idea where to start so was looking for some advice from anyone in the know.
Sorry i couldn't post this in the general gassing area as there was no option to start a post there.

Hi Mel

I'm no expert but have been several times and spotted some great cars.

A stroll down Park Lane and a nosy in the Dorchester Hotel car park is always a good place to start. I would also recommend Brompton Road (where Harrods is) and Sloan Street. Here you will also see the McLaren and Ferrari dealerships, which is a bonus.
If it's a nice day you can walk the whole route.

Apart from that I have seen some rare cars on random streets without aiming to! They can pop up anywhere.

As above... there is usually some exotic machinery hiding around knightsbridge (Harrods area).

A friend is picking us up in her Porsche and taking us down to sloane square so hopefully that will be a good starting point. Didn't realise there were dealerships close by so he will love those too.

There are loads of places so pretty good odds of seeing something cool.

As stated before.

I would start on Park Lane at Bob Forsters http://www.bobforstner.co.uk/contact/ - you can park up in the Park Lane Car Park opposite, which usually has some good stock in as well!

Then walk down Park Lane towards Belgravia and Knightsbridge.

Lamborghini London is at http://www.hrowen.co.uk/lamborghini/locations/17/l... and the old Brompton road has loads of cool cars cruising around.

If he's into historic stuff Fiskens is in the same area http://www.fiskens.com/contact-us/ just cross over the A4.

Canary Wharf, just ask to visit all the underground garages for Citi, JP Morgan, HSBC etc.

Don't bother with RBS, they are all driving around in Hyundai i10's nowadays apparently

Saw a enzo and a veyron outside the lanesborough hotel (by Hyde park corner) but as above they crop up anywhere!

You are almost guaranteed seeing some nice cars around Harrods. From Sloane Square, walk up Sloane St and cut across Hans Crescent which will bring you there. Its only 5 mins or so. There is a Café Rouge at the back of Harrods where you can sit and watch the world go by (along with some very nice cars). Or, as he is 11, maybe take him for lunch at the Hard Rock Café just off Hyde Park Corner which isn’t too far away.
PS Whilst you’re there, go up to Harrods toy dept. Well worth a visit.

I was just looking at the Hard Rock Cafe website and trying to work out where abouts it is. I don't know London at all so good to hear it's close by. That's lunch sorted then
