Anyone lost a ferrari ?

I recently chauffeured at one of "those" weddings, a rented M4 and C63 got passed between various uninsured people who were all smoking weed, one of whom tried to overtake us the wrong way through a width restriction, and smacked the alloy into a kerb wrecking both it and the tyre. It was alright though, because their mate will sort it before they have to give it back innit.

Those comments sum it up.It's the Muslim wedding season and that's how weddings are celebrated in my home town as well. A guy ran a white rented Mercedes Benz CLS into the back of an old chap in a Corsa yesterday and did a runner.
I'll jump into the thread now it's had time for the normal dozen posts about Muslim weddings bruv and put some serious questions up.
I'm pretty streetwise and know that dodgy dealings Go on but an accident like this is surely going to leave someone (or more) of the wedding party in a whole heap of pain isn't it?
The companies that hire out these vehicles (if it's hired) aren't stupid, they demand huge deposits, check and scrutinise all documents and are pretty stringent with their excess and returns policies.
I'm not so sure it's as simple as fleeing the scene or nominating a driver who is absent as some think.
Prove me wrong by all means but I think behind the headline lies a reality that is deeply costly for the hirer or similar.
