Saw this

https://www.ebay.co.uk/ulk/itm/252287030864

- an enquiry via eBay as to what the mileage is and where the car is located (odd not to list the mileage) led to a reply with no answers but a link to this:

http://2010bmwx3.page.tl/

- still no mileage or location but looks Kosher. There's a personal email address there so I asked again by email for the details
- got a reply saying its in Rostock Germany. 'She' is a company selling for someone who has moved to Germany, have a contract to sell it and it's in a container ready to be shipped. If I'm interested then she will pass details to 'her' colleagues to start the process. Still no mileage information though!

Issues:
A) slightly badly worded email but excusable if it's google translate from German
B) no mileage given after 4 requests now
C) she says it's a company who trade in this type of sale but the email is a personal one
D) there's zero feedback and no other items for sale

I should think if I say I want it the next stage will be them asking for my bank details, an escrow payment, bye bye £ and no car.

Is this a new variation on the old 'car abroad' scam with a 'blog' and then email contact and a load of bks to draw people in?

Also threres no route to report to Ebay items listed that don't exist or are owned by others. The main scam I have come across in the last couple of years has been where the scamming seller has just lifted photos from google or a previous listing.

'She' said in the email - The car belongs to a UK citizen, he got a new job in Germany, and he did not have time to take care of the sale.

She could tell you that but not the mileage of the car. It looks to me like it is an old autotrader advert that has been used and put into the other website. Using a personal gmail as a way of removing you from the protection of eBay and PayPal. Go along with it and see were she's heading but I wouldn't be parting with any cash. Ask for more photographs, that always makes them go quiet

^ Thats why I was interested in the mileage, if its extremely high it would account for it and still be ok for my OH.
^^ Well I'm not walking towards it put it that way, I'm flagging it up here as a scam with a blog too

Here's the mileage (and Car):

http://www.buyyourcar.co.uk/used-car/adv/bmw/x3/mt...

After the very first reply from the OP's so-called seller, it's obviously a scam.

Email them the original advert and see what they say (assuming you actually get a reply).

Must have been a very good job for a Volvo Main Dealer to just shut up shop without selling off his stock and move to Germany.
Or did I miss something......

Go along with it but say you are having problems paying. Their bank account is not recognised by your bank or something.

Tell them if they can transfer £50 to your account your bank will have the details and then you can send you the full amount for the car, plus the £50 back.
