need a Mechanic in Essex Wickford / Rayleigh / Basildon area

Hi everyone

I've had a pretty rubbish 6 months with my usual mechanic, and I've lost faith in them completely to the point my wife refuses to drive her car anymore, and wants a new one.

Does anyone have any recommendations for a good mechanic in the Wickford / Rayleigh / Basildon area. It's for a Vauxhall Astra, so a Vauxhall specialist would be ideal, but I'm open to any recommendations of good, reliable generalists too

Thanks for your suggestions guys. I ended up taking it to Saab & Vauxhall in benfleet, run by a guy called Dave. He seems to have found and fixed the problem (A broken water pipe that should have been seen my previous garage had they ran the engine to temperature after repairing the head gasket and reassembling the engine.)

I'll make a note of the two you suggested in case I ever need them for some reason
