This was hilarious last night.
Spotted it in a BP Garage near heathrow. Driver sporting a massive frizzy blonde perm. I particularly like the sun strip that says SEX. Various people who saw the picture when I posted it on Facebook reckon it's a kit (possibly Corvette based) but was badged as a Ferrari.

I'd guess the bonnet is too short/low to be Corvette-based.

Eta: the dealer plate behind the trade plate has "Exotics" written on it.

If its a fake the detail is pretty good (apart from the wheels of course). Most 308 fakes i've seen are missing the split in the c pillar.

That said I was at a car show recently that had some fake and real countaches in the same display. One of them had me fooled. Normally they are easy to spot.

Real. It's a US modal that looks to have been recently imported.

Just waiting for the driver to start it up would have answered the question for the OP. scratchchin

It probably does.

But it's got a big thick piece of rubber holding the trade plate on jammed in it?

Actually, doesn't look that chunky compared with most, still.

I'm going to stick my neck out and say, after-market wheels aside, that looks genuine.

Stuff that's expensive/difficult to change on a kit, such as the rake of the windscreen to minor items like the rear under-tray around the exhausts to the position of the door locks looks correct.

First impression was not overly convinced about the way the rear wings sit over the arches. But googling for comparison, I think it probably is a real one.

Didn't these originally have TRXs, which'd explain the aftermarket wheels?

Looks real to me, a quick glance at the gearlever would probably have answered your question.

Looks real to me, however those wheels just ruin it.

I'd agree it's a US import & I reckon genuine.

The side repeaters weren't on UK or European cars iirc & if they were I don't think they were that big, also being red at the rear give it away.

Genuine or kit it looks good so I'd give it house room!
