Panic! Renault Scenic handbrake fault

The bloody car 2008 1.6 auto is stuck and coming up handbrake fault. I will not start and now I cannot move the damn thing.

How the hell do I release the handbrake?

There's an emergency release in the boot under the carpet, yellow handle I believe.

Would you believe all caused by a flat battery. Bizarre!

You'd be surprised at some of the mental stuff a battery that is just beginning to fail can cause. Its worse on german technobarges.
