Just for fun...does anyone on here own a Lexus LFA, if so I'd be interested to hear what your ownership experiences have been like.

Lou Macari has one on sale I believe. Not sure there are many in the UK.

I don't own one but have worked on one a fair amount.

Parts prices are eye wateringly expensive!

It sounds absolutely amazing and is a very enjoyable car to drive. Which brings me to my main gripe. The damn thing attracts so much attention and people do daft things around the car that I am glad to get out the drivers seat and leave it parked up safely.

Did you have a particular question in mind? I can do my best to answer if at all possible.

Good luck finding any of the 3 registered owners!

Bonkers car, respect to anyone who buys one.

He must sell a lot of chips to afford an LFA!

The best sounding engine note. Ever.

There really is no competition.

Had a go in a black one. Looked awesome inside, and one of the most beautiful engine wails of all time. But it was not really that fast, tiny bits of replacement carbon were 5-10k a pop, and there was only one offical outlet for some parts in the UK. They wanted 500k for it, but it looked more like a 100k Nissan GT-R from some angles at the front and side.

LFA = Nr1 lottery win car.

I work in the European service centre for this thing and it's just awesome, but unlike a couple of lucky posters here I've not been allowed to drive one...

We have one customer who owns two!

It's the car the new NSX should have been.

someone posted the US parts list with costs, it appears everything about the car is approaching vayron levels in terms of costs

I can't find the parts list on line anymore but here are some highlights:

$14,000 for a front bumper. Without all the bits to fit it on with. Or paint.

Clutch - Over $17000 for the pressure plate and over $4000 for friction plate.

windscreen - $18278.

Front Wiper Arm - $1200

£1800(each)front brake disc

I love them but don't think I would ever buy one. Lottery win or not. A Carrera GT sounds as good if not better and wouldn't be such a pain to own.

I think the CGT would be similarly shockingly priced for the custom stuff. It's not just a 911 with a V10 shoehorned in.

I agree though, I remember that parts list and thinking how absolutely insane the various bits were, but would you really expect to be replacing a front bumper regularly? How often do you smash bits of carbon trim off your car?

Saw a racing version burst into flames at N24. Until that point, was an aural highlight each lap.

No 1 Supercar for me.

I'd love an F40, I'd love a Zonda.

But an LFA, a genuine UK LFA, now that's probably one of the rarest supercars in existence.

That does surprise me. Power to weight is pretty healthy. Lacking torque?

In terms of a road car, I endorse this 100%.

Been on track with one a few times at The Supercar Event. Amazing thing, massive thanks to Lexus UK for supplying it and driving it properly around the track. smile

That sound.... cloud9

Front bumpers and losing bits of carbon maybe not, but windscreen damage is pretty common. I get a sinking feeling when I hear a chipping hit my Golf Windscreen, it must be heart wrenching if it happens in an LFA.

I love the LFA, but it just doesn't look special enough for me, if I was spending this kind of money I would want something far more ludicrous, the last one that was up for sale was £380k, I'd take a 670 SV over it any day of the week, hell I'd even take an LP640 over one.
