Hi all

Don’t like to ask these sorts of questions but I help a lot of ph’ers our with various trade related stuff....

Wife needs a new motor, seen one for a good price but seems a bit too good to be true. Sadly it’s a bit of a trek so don’t want to go without knowing if it’s shady.

I’m also curious to know if anyone can tell me if it’s been a notability vehicle from number plate

If you are able to assist it’d be much appreciated

Thanks

I did an HPI today for £19.99, small price to pay I thought.

As for Motability, I might be able to help. How old is the car?

I asked a while back and someone suggested starting an auto trader listing and part way through it will tell you if its CAT D etc. It was the case so a free check you can do. Then use MOT history check also free.

Thanks all

Not sure if the auto trader hack works any more, I chucked in a known cat d and it didn’t report it

Sadly for me, money is tight, or I am one or a combo of the two

I did one yesterday on mycarcheck.com for £1.99, although I think you had to pay extra for the Motability bit. Perhaps worth a look?

The trouble with someone else doing it for you is you lose all the insurance you get doing it yourself. If you pay for it and the info turns out to be wrong you have comeback.

Re the Motab query, you can't tell from the reg but a quick sniff of the seat is the best way yes

PM me with the registration, make and model and I'll see what I can do.
