Where do i stand ?
Discussion
I bought a ford focus zetec 1.6tdci on 23 june of this year on finance .. I took it to the dealer where I bought it from because it kept losing power every time I set off and put it in 2nd gear it slowed right down and sometimes engine cut out. The problem is I need no2 injector seal replacing and glow plug too and they are charging me £452 for the work I have only had the car 4 months should I being having problems so soon it's not covered u set the warranty either .. where do i stand?
I'm not up on cars tbh but I sense when im being diddled .i know that the perrys the dealer charges £85 per hour Labour charges per hour which is a rip off.i have put it in the hands of the finance company they are going to get in touch with them tomorrow and try and sort it out .. its wrong that I should be paying out on the car soon .

So, have they explained why the warranty doesn't cover it?Ford focus said:
They just said it was declined .the bloke who rang me up said it's not right that I have only had the car 4 months and he will be asking the questions tomorrow about why I should have to pay that amount he is to ring me in the morning .
You need to ask why it was declined. (but, in any event I would say the dealer should be helping you)If the car was supplied with the fault (and you can prove that) you are still within the six months whereby the dealer needs to make good. (I'm no expert, but Google sale of goods act 2015 and used cars)
If it has developed since I guess the warranty route is best?
Hopefully somebody will be along soon who is better qualified

Having said that, I'd have expected an aftermarket warranty to cover something like that.
