Sadly we had to attend the funeral of our neighbour of 30 years who finally succumbed to his Alzheimer's disease.

Just before we arrived at the crematorium a Reliant Supervan all painted up Del Boy style came into view....towing a lengthened Robin Estate converted into a trailer hearse.

Alas Norman's final carriage was not thís unusual machine but it certainly became a talking point afterwards.

I didn't get a photo with the outfit 'loaded and bedecked with flowers' but luckily it was parked up and spotted again on our way to the wake.

I can only imagine how horrific that is to tow - noseweight...? Still, it shouldn't fall over at cortege speeds...

We used our old 2cv van for a mate's hearse about a decade ago.

It looks st that frown

The only way that would look good is if it had a proper "roll on, roll off" style roof rack to take the coffin (Don't suppose the stiff would mind getting a bit wet). The trailer just looks odd - like an after thought.

I seen something like this on the M4 the other day:-

Also remember seeing this:-

I went to a neighbour's funeral the other week, in the snow. The hearse was a black Disco5 - and once the service was over, the two undertakers quickly put their overalls on, hitched up the grave-digging trailer to the back, and got muddy...

Saw a similar trailer being towed behind a motorhome. "Only fools and hearses."

Wow I wouldn't liked to have footed the bill for that.

Saw that with all 8 of their funeral cars the other week on the week at a funeral. It looked mega impressive and expensive convoy.

If you feel guilty about all the V8s that you've wasted the planet's resources on it's never to late to make amends. Just make your last journey by Nissan Leaf cool

I've just been out in Italy near lake Como and obviously with the Italians being so stylish they need something suitable the occasion:

I give you the Maserati Hearse! It looked pretty good parked up outside their place.

I saw this, or an identical one a couple of weeks ago. It looked awful, the lines just don’t work.
