Son is getting quotes on cars he is looking at (Peugeot 206).

For one car its £1000 odd for another (same model/year) its £1700. All he is changing is the reg no.

Does this imply the more expensive one is a Cat C or something?

Both cars are bog standard 1.4.

Is it a different colour? Slightly different spec?

Both metallic, one silver, one blue. Other than that the same car, different colour interiors, that's all.

Near neighbours son was also buying the same car, a 206, LV wanted £4000, More Than were £1400.

It might seem crazy but Peugeot do a deal called just add fuel, all insurance and repair costs and everything else are taken care of for three years at a monthly cost of under £200, may be worth looking at, I was thinking about it as there would be no NCB available for an extra car.

Did see that but unfortunately he's not 18 and can't wait another year, desperate for his first car.

And... it works out 250 a month with a £2.5K deposit... that's not gonna happen while hes still at school.
