Hi ALL newbie here .

Just had our Ford Puma year 2000 Mot'd. It failed BUT only on an EML failing to illuminate. PROBLEM is the car does not have an EML. I have now got to convince the tester that this is the case . This is day 2 of this nightmare and the tester is still ...I have been doing this job for 30 years.......Help

Readers cars isn't the best place for this,ask a mod using report button to move it to general gassing.

The Puma certainly does have an EML light:

And that's exactly why it failed. Because it does have, but it just doesn't work. I wonder why a previous owner might have removed the bulb...

The E.M.L used to light up occasionally on my 216GTi it was one of the H.T ignition leads not fully home in the dizy cap.....

So can quite easily be something simple!

Probably harder to take the bulb out than fix the problem.
