I walk past the above most days, and most days some selfish fkwit has parked in front. I've got to the point I'm annoyed for the poor devils that work in that building. Last Sunday a guy was waiting to come out at 6pm and was still waiting at 6.30pm when I walked back.

How long would you need to wait before smashing a window & knocking the handbrake off became an option? 5 minutes, an hour, a day?

Have you had to take similar action?

Why are people so crap?

It’s not necessarily obvious if you just pull up though is it, and if you get out and go straight over the road you probably wouldn’t see it until you came back to the car

Except its on Double Yellows, so should be obvious. Mind due someone who doesn't give a st about DYLs is unlikely to care about premises access either.

True, if you couldnt see the double yellow lines, it would be easy to miss the sign as well.

It's in a part of town where it's obvious you really shouldn't park, notwithstanding the drop kerb, double yellows and signage!

I thought that. I offered the poor bugger trapped in after his full day at work my assistance to shift the car. He declined..honest law abiding citizen!

Not necessarily, they could have a blue badge therefore double yellows become less relevant

30 minutes? That's generous. If it was happening frequently I wouldn't wait 30 seconds. I'd be keeping the appropriate equipment behind the roller doors (jacks/skates etc) and start to move the obstruction as soon as I needed access.

Tell him to invest in these & that way he doesn't have to risk damaging anyone's property.

Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve hitched a car up for blocking my drive and moved it into the road 😡

In the olden days when cars only weighed about 800kg you and 2 or 3 mates would be able to bounce most cars anywhere you liked, you would get a slipped disc trying that with modern cars. Progress eh? biggrin

Dropped kerb? Blocking someone in? Isn't that grounds for calling the police or similar to move it. You can block someone out but you cannot block someone in.

People couldn’t care less about others these days.
If he was to get it moved, who knows what kind of person the owner of the BMW is.
Could just bring unwanted attention to his business.

‘It’s easy to miss the sign’

Why is it easy? You don’t park outside someone’s business if it says 24 hour access needed. Ignorance. Selfishness. What else?

Blue badge is not a ticket park anywhere you want, there are rules attached to them, if it does have a blue badge, why not park 3 metres further back or forwards of the shop. Assuming no other ignorant twunts are there.

Out of interest where is it?

The fella had called the police. But I'm thinking more direct action was required!

It's on a busy road leading down to Nottingham Old Market Square.
