ECP & Car parts 4 less same company?

Are ECP & Car Parts 4 less the same company?

I ask because I just searched online for a couple of bits and was offered an ECP link and a CP4L one. One part was £18.99 on ECP & not eligible for the discount. Via car parts it was £11.04 after discount.

If they are are the same co that’s a huge % difference in price and the only thing I can see between then is the cheaper one has to be delivered.

Yep same company, one chain has to fork out for physical stores = higher costs

Buying from ECP gives you the convenience of store pickup / return, and same day delivery on stuff the store actually has. Can't have that for free!

Yes, they are the same company. As above, plus ECP gives you the option of taking back to the store to get a refund or change stuff, with CP4L you have to arrange (by email) to ship it back.
CP4L also doesn't carry the full range that ECP does.

CP4L is good if you are not time critical and don't mind waiting to rectify any issues, ECP gives you the flexibility of a physical store. As above, you pay a bit of a "premium" for that (the physical stores and the staff within them are not free!)

Both have their uses and I have happily used both extensively and without any issues (cue a load of people coming on here now to berate both companies for being st!)

I’ve used ECP many times before and had no trouble with them, the collect option is great if it’s somethign I need today but I mostly order stuff for services/pre mot jobs so it’s planned.

Handy to know CP4L is the same place.

Same with B&Q and screwfix, same items cheaper with screwfix. If you can get more money from unaware buyers then why not...
