Anyone else tried this?

Thanks to google's frankly scary search algorithms, you can google image search your old numberplate, and hey presto, photos of your car may appear (if you've posted pics around on the net, or if any subsequent owners have).

It's quite fun, found out a few of my old cars are still kicking about, and one is now used at hillclimb events.

Disappointingly, I found a newspaper advert for my number plate and nothing else.

I didn't find anything for my current car on image search - but I did find it on youtube accidentally a few months ago (previous owner).

My old S2000 - there are a few hits. I think it's owned now by someone on PH (who sold the registration on).

I just found a photo of an E36 BMW I sold at Christmas in 2008. It was then sold again in 2014 in the image I found, and had been truly ruined and made into a drift car by then, what had been immaculate blue paintwork was now roller applied chalkboard paint, or so it looks

My old E30 M3 seams to get everywhere.

Old CSL is up for sale, If only I had £40k I'd be tempted to have it back.

Well well.

An Evo 8 I had has made it to Poland!

Glad to see she still lives.

This thread has just pointed me to a 'spotted' thread of an old car of mine!

My reg is also the model number of a hole-punch....

But I did find some old images from TiTTs, Chatsworth, Le Mans, TVRCC Back Home in Blackpool, and a photo taken on my first date with the other half!

Nothing for any of mine either. Closest I came was images of fire engines and coaches (instead of a Fiesta). One other search resulted in Finnish deep fat fryers, and another was a paper entitled "thermodynamical properties of a neutral vector boson gas in a constant magnetic field".

F585 KFE was my first CRX and I saw it sale recently on eBay, stripped and used as a track day car.
Unusual, but when I entered this reg number there were no pics of MY car but were of several other CRX's (with different plates). Odd.

Pro tip, make sure to put any plate text/number spaces in...as that seems to make a difference.

Currently wracking my brain trying to remember some of my oldest car's plates.

The only one that worked for me was an old taxi of ours and it was our image.

Everything else brought up buses, cameras, electrical connectors...

Very bizzare..

Put in the reg for my TVR and it finds a bunch of Cerberas, all but my own...

Put in the reg of my 200SX and it pops up with one picture, followed by my S2000 and a bunch of other S2000s!
