Given that SUVs with a third row of seats are so inexplicably popular, and given the third row is so difficult to get in and out of, why don't any manufacturers make one with a third pair of doors?

Since when are they hard to get into? They're generally easier than a three door hatchback.

Because you would look like you were on your way to a funeral, every day.

The third row tends to be in line with the rear axle, so difficult to put doors over the wheels.

My ultimate dream car is a hearse. In my weird fantasy world my friends would be able to sit in the back and drink beer from the coffin drinks cooler when we go on road trips.

Gullwing, or rear-hinged would work perfectly. And manufacturers seem to be increasingly proud of their ability to make doors with invisible handles, so it wouldn't even have to look like an extra door!

Third row in the X7 is relatively easy to get in and out of.
