Just seen on the news Boris Johnson leaving his house in a battered Toyota Previa, why am I surprised by this, is this on purpose they do this, to appeal...?

As Crobyn has a Mk3 Astra from memory? Another car you don't even see on the roads anymore.

It's kind of refreshing Boris is seen driving around in this, from research he seems to of had this car for years, an out spoken advicate on global warming, keeping an old car running is better than buying a new one...I don't know, maybe there is a method in the madness.

+1 for great shedding to Boris anyway, maybe a shed of the week candidate...

The rear view showed two big dents, presumably from reversing into bollards.

I don't think his 'faking it', saw him come out of Heathrow arrivals lounge once whilst waiting for some one.

He stood out because he was by far the worst dressed/most unkempt person I had seen appear out of the immigration doors!!

His Brexit policy seems nuts but out of all the idoits his probably the one I would vote for.

Our local labour MP though drives around in a Prius come election time, but has x2 Rolls Royces parked on his private address - not during election time obviouslysmile.

These old previas are awesome! Mid engined and the driving position is like looking out of a spaceship.

Good turning circle on these. Great for U-turns.

I think these are quite cool. Certainly more interesting that most current MPV’s.

He doesn't have his seat belt on. Wasn't David Beckham recently procecuted for a driving offence with a similar level of evidence?

If I lived/worked in central London I’d have a shed I cared nothing about.

And something nice in a shed away from the capital.

+1 on his Citroen AX aswell, something very rural France about them, probably utterly reliable aswell.

I actually do like his Previa, they were old 20 years ago when I was in school!

People used to always say they were flimsy and deathtraps, but I was in a crash in an AX into a Sierra back in the 90s. Despite doing its maximum velocity of 99mph (minus a last minute, cold, wet-road wheel lock) into the near-stationary Sierra, we both got out without lasting damage and despite the wheels and engine being nowhere near where they were meant to be, the passenger area was unaltered. Surprisingly fun little car to drive, too.

Saw him on his bike one evening when he was Mayor of London. I was turning right, as was he, but in the opposite direction at Mount Pleasant heading towards Islington. He wobbled, I clocked who he was, he caught my eye and started laughing, realising (I think) how silly he looked and how precarious his manoeuvre was.

I think he is fully aware of how he looks and how he comes across. Many politicians don’t, i fear.

plus point on the Previa...it’s mid engined!

I saw one that had been rear ended on the M40 some years ago. The car had folded in half across its middle so back was folded up over the roof. Both front seat occupants were killed.

Something attractive about not giving a damn. Previa and AX have their plus points, and if serviced and unrusty will be good workhorses. Would be good to think this is the real Boris and, as he can afford any car he wants, it probably is,

Toyota can do boring and mundane - won’t bore you with examples in our extended family- but they do go on and on and will look after you if you even marginally look after them.

Boris is actually a massive petrol head

Probably on PistonHeads

I’ve seen plenty of pics of him in his Gallardo

Classic old money type, drives a shed but has a stable of exotica in his timbered garage.

Unless you look at their recent stuff?! Many 1.2 3pot CHR’s struggling with major engine issues for example
