rejecting a car after 6 months?
Discussion
My mother is requesting that the dealer gives her a different car after 6 months.
It is a new Dacia Sandero that has had many visits back to the dealer for all sorts of issues, the last one being that it needed a new gearbox a month ago, and the same problem has showed up again so it is back with them in for another gearbox I guess.
She is now requesting that they just give her another car of similar value but a different brand . they are a main dealer of renault and Dacia and she will be Ok if the car is a couple of years older as she appreciates that renaults are more expensive than Sandero's.
Do 'we' think she has a good case and is being reasonable?

Worth finding out the manufactures code of conduct. VAG will buy back if they've failed to fix after 3 goes.

Well, it seems like the garage is playing ball!
Mother is heading there tomorrow so they can come to some kind of arrangement. Just been looking at what they have that is 2-4 yrs old and 90% seem to be diesels
I’d be pushing for a refund or something with the same amount of warranty left as the original carMother is heading there tomorrow so they can come to some kind of arrangement. Just been looking at what they have that is 2-4 yrs old and 90% seem to be diesels

Her last few cars have come from them and they have been very fair with her, it is just this car that has been the issue and to be fair to them they have done their best to sort it. I expected them to put up a bit of a fight but they have capitulated pretty quickly so hopefully they will provide a decent warranty.
