I can’t wait to get back to work. Popped to the local shop to get my weekly supplies and found the roads are full again, couple of terrible drivers weaving on straight roads. Lane discipline also seems to have gone out the window. Was glad to get home tbh.

I've no intentions of going back to work until the payments cease. I'm loving it on Furlough I've never had so much time to spend with my daughters.

Can't understand those who 'can't wait to go back to work'.

Might as well just go on benifits ... dont bother going back to work ... if there is work to go back to !!!

Possibly the OP has rather misjudged things with his post. I certainly found it jarred slightly.

There is a real culture of "if you're not miserable then you're not doing your bit" developing. I'm sorry that people have died, I'm sorry that people are dying, and I'm sorry that so many face financial hardship but I don't think me (or the OP) sitting at home doing nothing and looking glum in solidarity will make any difference to them?

13-15MPG when I've got my foot down I couldn't afford to go on the dole.

Currently getting the full £2500 a month. There is no doubt I am absolutely loving it.

In March the OP posted a thread saying he had been laid off and was looking for temp work ( https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&... ). Out of anyone I would have expected him to think twice about posting as there will be others who didn't manage to get furlough.

Let's not forget how long it will take to pay back what he and others are being paid to stay at home and stop the virus spreading (lol)

I can't wait to get back to work. Don't get me wrong, spending all this time at home has been good for the sake of the house and garden, but my work is still something I enjoy. I work for an airline, the longer I'm on furlough, the more money the airline burns through and the more likely I am to be made redundant. I am keen to get back in the air, just for the peace of mind that things are on the up for the security of our home and my family.
