How much tread in 8-9 thousand miles

How much tread do you reckon I’d use in 8-9 thousand miles?

The tyres are michelin pilot sport 4

What car? Are you doing wheel spins, lots of corners or lots of motorway?

I had a set of pilot sport 4s on a diesel Leon and they where down to the bumps in 12k. So probs use 6 of the 8mm in 8k

Could easily wear them down in a few miles on a RWD, Would last ages on the rear of a FWD.

I had a set of Pilot Sports on my old MK2 Focus ST, and they were dead after 9k miles

Dunlop Blu Response on my shed all round with close to 50k miles on them - there's still some tread to go before I hit the wear marks.

The latest super-sticky Michelin Cup 2 R which is used to set lap time records can be completely done in far less than 250 miles! At qualifying pace you might change a set every 5-10 miles.

I find tyre wear fascinating. I've got a Merc GLC where the fronts lasted 55k miles and the rears have been on for 70k miles(pretty close to the wear markers now though). Whereas the fronts on the Cooper S are pretty much at the wear markers after only 15k miles. I feel hard done to by the Mini! The rears still look almost brand new though.

The tyres on the GLC have been incredible for how long they've lasted miles wise. The best I've ever had miles wise prior to the GLC was 35k miles, and they were pretty much down to the wires!

Rather embarrassed to admit this but 20k in on my P Zeros and still a year’s worth of tread left, on a 997.2 turbo. Either I’m doing something very right or very, very wrong.
