Dorky drivers...I know most people would automatically say BMW & Audi, but it ain't necessarily so!

Canal Street in Nottingham used to be an east to west thoroughfare. On August the 9th it was changed to (mostly) west to east, but for buses, taxis & loading by van only.

The council have put up flashing illuminated signs, big yellow additional signs, painted the road & then finally added plenty of permanent signage. The first week they had marshals waving their arms about.

So, to drive down the bus lane you have to be Duane Dibley Duke of Dork. I'd go as far as to say that if you drive down the bus lane paying so little attention to what's around you, then you shouldn't be driving.

For reasons that's too convoluted to tell you, we've done a survey of the traffic this week. Before I post the results of bad driving by marque, would anybody like to hazard a guess how many cars drove through the bus lane in a random 6.5 hours surveyed this week?

What we really need to do is move over to driving on the right in line with the Continent. Now that would be fun.
