Did try to see if this has been posted elsewhere but I didn’t see it... https://www.warrantydirect.co.uk/

Not a customer, I’ve used other warranties in the past but I guess maybe the business model wasn’t doing well enough for them?

The wording suggests that they are only dealing with traders and garages perhaps rather than closed.

I did wonder if that could be the case. A few warranty companies only operate that way. But I would expect a portal login and so on if it was open for dealers - unless that is maybe behind another website...

Yup, closed up shop to new policies.

Founder (who founded / now runs MotorEasy) commented on LinkedIn about it.

I can think of at least one M5 owner who won't be sorry to see them pack up and leave the market !

Presumably they have to service existing policy holders? I guess if you have a policy with them then you are looking at a fight to get anything out of them, like the M5 thread, I’m sure they’ll be even bigger charlatans now.

I took a policy out with motoreasy last year. Went in with my eyes open. They’ve paid out about £600 so far, on a £1035 3 year policy. Finger crossed they lost another couple of years

They're open again.

there's a handy guide online for anyone that has their claim refused: https://carwarrantyclaimrejected.blogspot.com/
