Hi, just had my reminder for photo renewal. As this year DVLA have extended the renewal date for a year, do you think they will do the same over the next few months into 2021 as Covid is still a very real threat.
I have just had my renewal reminder as mine expires 28 Jan 2021.
I have not been out since March and really have no desire to go out to a post office in January.
I cant do online as I dont have a passport.
From what I have read, DVLA do not do the D1 pack form online.
Is there another way to renew without going out to post office ??
Any help would be great
Cheers

Jeez.

Maybe don't bother renewing until the you decide you might want to leave the house.

I did mine a couple of weeks ago, and like you don't have a passport.. I think you will have to go to the Post Office as they have to take a new photo of your face. Not all Post Offices offer Driving Licence Photocard renewal service, so you'd need to check that out as well.

There are free passport photo apps online if you have a digital camera.

I've done it with young kids for passports.

I did mine at the post office the other day.
Really easy , just hand in old licence, sit in photo booth and hand over £21.50.
Think it’s £17.50 if you do it online with a valid passport.
