Debate: Can car wraps be cool or nah?
Discussion
I think when used for colour changes to something you really want that is hard to find in the car you have, ie Riviera Blue on a Porsche or Yellow on a Ferrari, then why not ? I'm not a fan of matte finishes, camo look or reflective wraps, those in my eyes are a little too try hard !!
Depends on how well it's done and what materials been used, went to see a car and didn't realise it was wrapped until the bonnet was opened which did still slightly put me off as wondered what may be underneath.
With most people PCP'ing cars wraps are one of the limited modifications you can do and reverse before handing back which is why they are so popular as spec'ing any colour apart from white or black in the dealership usually adds a hefty premium.

Something that I have always wondered if you wrap a car do you need to notify the DVLA of the colour change?
If it's a full colour change, then yes. I'd tell both to avoid any issue but always heard the previous banded around on the internet
It is indeed a personal taste thing, and to be honest though I might not want it on my own car I can still appreciate it.
Think there is plenty of room for something a bit outlandish and striking in a sea of monochrome.
There was a matte purple Mercedes SLS locally with purple neons underneath, it looked other worldly at night and keep seeing a chrome red wrapped Golf GTI and that looks fantastic as well.
I quite like the sort of distressed Martini livery wraps some have put on Porsches and some of the ones that look like rust are really cool as well.
I would go a little more subtle but love seeing the mad stuff.

Ive never seen a wrap and thought that looks better than a standard paint job.
If anything I just wince and think of the logistics: is there any point washing a Matt wrap, are the shut lines done, Under the bonnet? What does the v5 say, would you ever want to turn up to a funeral/ job interview in it?
