Cars you secretly like, but are embarrassed to admit it.
Discussion
As per the title really. Is there a car you really like, but you know you shouldn’t?
This isn’t an opportunity to post something interesting in an attempt to look cool. We all like Alfa SZs and Citroen SM’s. This is more for modern / current stuff.
Here’s mine: the VW Touareg R.
I walk past a black one on the walking the dog everyday. I think it looks ace..
It looks like this

We’ll actually a lot better in the metal.
I also know all the reasons I shouldn’t really like it too.

For some reason I'd quite like a Zafira GSi Turbo (maybe because they are a third of the price of a VXR). Fill it with crap, it'll have a bit of pace, nobody else will like it.
I'd also quite like a Renault Grand Espace V6 with panoramic roof, the one with the 350Z engine, just a bit odd.

With you on the Zafira for the same reasons, would have to be the blue (Arden?) though I'd also quite like a Renault Grand Espace V6 with panoramic roof, the one with the 350Z engine, just a bit odd.

Didn't even know that existed. That is cool.Despite being the owner of a proper Land Rover I really rather like the new Defender, especially in ‘poverty’ spec with steel wheels.
By the same token as a serial owner of old Minis I was very taken with the then new MINI when it came out and owned one eventually which was absolutely brilliant apart from a slightly gutless engine (should’ve bought the S).

Lancia/Chrysler Ypsilon and Delta.
First saw them in Sardinia about 10/12 years ago. I admit the styling isn’t conventional, but I like them. I think it’s because they couldn’t possibly come from VW/Audi/BMW, too daring/curvy for those brands. Drove several Ypsilon hire cars in Spain and enjoyed them, never tried a Delta but I imagine they’re exactly as I’d expect; an average Euro hatchback.
Would happily have an Ypsilon on the driveway.

Chrysler were never really able to nail that retro-modern look that Ford was nailing in the early noughties, but I still love the look of the Chrysler PT Cruiser, despite it being known as one of the ugliest cars ever produced.

I also love the Perodua Kenari, which I actually own (in the same horrid colour). There is something appealing about driving something so utterly horrific.

I love the new Peugeot's. In fact I've been a secret admirer of their new lines for a few years. That 508 SW rear is gorgeous.
There's a few of them that actually look pretty cool at the minute
I saw the coupe one a few months ago and then saw the saloon version recently, they seem to have really sorted out the rear ends on them. Also saw a hot hatch which looked great. (Sorry, no idea about their numbers !!)
