Cheap eBay dent pullers

My father in law has modified the rear quarter panel on his 3 door golf

The Cars worth nothing and he doesn’t want the hassle or expense of fixing it and paying for the work, insurance will write it off.
Has anyone had any success with those suction dent pullers and hot water tricks thst look easy on YouTube?

Tried a few, never had any joy. I'd spend your money on a PDR chap if you don't want to paint it.
