When I had the Ferrari I did it a few times for friends' kids.
Each time I dressed smartly but not chauffeur cap.
I also made sure that my passenger remained in the car until I walked around to open the door. This seemed to go down well.
If the car you're using is special then be prepared for dozens of questions and everyone wanting to sit in - one of the proms I did I still had parents wanting to sit in the car after the kids had all gone inside!

Yes, I was going to do the full "open the door for her" routine on arrival, not sure the car will get that much interest, base model Cayman 987.2, at the fortnightly car show I go which is local to me hardly anyone bats an eyelid at it. I was just thinking of wearing my suit to be honest, but wanted to make sure that this wasn't OTT.

Indeed! Wasn’t there a thread about this last week? Lots of l “I think you’ll find” comments saying how you need to notify your insurers of the hire and reward aspect, and of course you’ll need to declare the income to HMRC. Get bottle of wine or similar.

It's rare in life that folks get to feel really special, so anything anyone can do at little cost or effort is worth it to make someone feel that way.
