Tesco pay at pump dispensing wrong receipts?
Discussion
I've had the carbs on my bike apart so I'm trying to keep an eye on my fuel consumption to make sure I haven't buggered anything up.
I've just filled up with E5 at the local Tesco, using pay at pump. The total came to about £32. I've just got home and calculated my consumption at 75 mpg, which would be great if it were true. On closer inspection, the receipt I was dispensed is for 10.3 litres of E10 with a total value of £19.99. The time on the receipt is also about 20 minutes earlier than when I filled up.
This happened on my last tankful as well, the consumption that time came out at about 16mpg - I put that down to me mistakenly pulling an old receipt out of my pocket. There's no doubt this time that I've got somebody else's receipt.
Luckily I don't need to claim expenses so it's not really a problem for me. Has anybody else noticed this problem?

What seems to be happening is that the receipt for the previous transaction gets stuck inside the printer / outlet, and the receipt for your transaction pushes it out, whilst then getting stuck itself.
This results in you getting the previous receipt, whilst your receipt is stuck inside.
Re-printing your receipt repeats the process, and usually clears the jam. Sometimes I've had two receipts come out at once when that occurs.
