I can't come up many sensible thoughts on this.
I have seen a nice Audi sq2 with a white exterior paint finish and a plain grey interior with a little aluminium finished flashes.
Nice car but so dull and boring. Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be done to lighten/brighten/add colour to the interior so it becomes a more pleasant place to be ? The seats appear to have leather bolsters and cloth seat/backs.
Re-trim the seats with a tan bolster perhaps, then tan floor mats ?
After that I am at a loss so after ideas.
Thoughts ???

Thanks
Brian.

I think the easiest solution is to just buy a car which is less "dull and boring".

You could have the seats re-trimmed, or swap them for ones from another model, but it'll probably cost you thousands either way.

this is most definetely the cheapest and easiest option.

Brightly coloured seatbelts ? polestar do the orange seatbelts on their performance pack models which looks quite striking.

I'd just buy a more colourful car.

Oh, hang on. 90% of cars up for sale seem to be black, grey, or white.......

Many thanks all.
Yes, I have asked similar but am after any "missed" ideas.
I have asked some local (ish) car trimmers if they can give me an idea of cost for seat retrim so will wait for that.
I think this will be the only solution, IF ..... ££££££ ?

Thanks again.
Brian.

This all day long.

A seat re-trim is going to be prohibitively expensive.

If you have already got the car, then maybe as others have suggested, different colour seatbelts, but again could be quite expensive.

Is it possible to remove the aluminium trim pieces and get them painted a different colour?

It's actually an interesting question, with so many boring similar looking cars in boring similar colours.
Used to be black everything, with silver close second. Now it's white and 50 shades of grey. All as dull as dishwater.

I once had a black car and vowed never again, keeping it clean and making it visible, but I'm possibly on the lookout for a Galaxy/Sharan and heard of one ticking all the boxes except it's black. Can't think what I'd do to make it "visible" in a sensible way without going totally "chav".

Buy a few pairs of glasses with different coloured lenses. That way everytime you look at/get into the car, it will look different.

Thing is, it’s currently a tedious Audi. When blinged , it’ll be a tedious Audi with odd bits lumped on.

Just buy something less dull in the first place.

Thanks again, nothing ignored.

As I explained in another thread," just get another car" isn't quite that simple.
We want a small SUV, 250+bhp and quick, AWD, Automatic, under 10kmiles, max £40K. NOT a BMW.
This limits it to Audi SQ2, VW T-Roc, Cupra Formentor (Infotainment issues ?), E-Pace (wife not keen), VolvoXC40 ??? Cupra Ateca ???
If a "normal car" was feasible then the A35AMG or Audi S3 would do nicely.
Car will be kept a number of years so spending a bit on the interior is not as daft as it sounds.

Cheers
Brian.

Honestly, buy a different car. I actively avoid grey interiors because of the reasons you mention; unbelievably dull and boring, and if the car isn't available with a more interesting interior, I just avoid that type of car altogether. The VAG lot seem to specialise in grey interiors, with the immense ability to make everything almost exactly the same shade of grey.

A white car with a grey interior is the automotive equivalent of a washing machine.

I’d steer well clear of changing anything that can’t easily be put back the way it was.

Future buyers are unlikely to be as keen on someone else’s tasteful mods.
