Hi everyone,

Been reading PH forums for many years but only recently joined as it occurred to me that I may be able to contribute with some interesting content.

Wasn't really sure where to start or post this thread as it could come under many topics, so mods please feel free to move to the appropriate section if you feel it doesn't fit here.

Right, I work for a company collection scrap and salvage parts, a bit like a Copart but we break most of the cars rather than auction them. I spend most of my day driving a 7 car transporter loading insurance write-offs and scrap from commercial and residential customers, most collections are your everyday dull assortment of vehicles but now and again something interesting crops up so I thought I would share some of these more interesting vehicles with you guys and some of the stories that go with them.

Fortunately the company I work for allow me to post my work on social media and YouTube so I have plenty of pics to share and post. The company also allows me to save anything that takes my fancy to use as project cars on the channel in return for promoting the business, it's really a great relationship and is working really well, I won't post the project cars here as I'd rather start a thread for each one in the "Members Rides" section as this isn't any sort of self-promotion so I won't be posting links, I just want to share the interesting and sometimes unbelievable stuff people discard often to my advantage.

So here's my tool of choice, it's a 2019 New Gen Scania P320 fitted with a 7 car transporter salvage spec body, optional extras include rear steer to help with the tight residential streets, front and rear adjustable air suspension for extra comfort, scales on all axels with dash display to ensure we stay legal and most importantly the Coffee maker.

So here are many of the more interesting cars I've collected over the last few months, I plan to regularly add to this thread when anything of interest pops up, theres also a few cars that deserve there own post that I'll create in the coming days.

Please don't ask if you can purchase any of the cars as more often than not by the time they're on here they have either A, already been striped B, already sold at auction C, already sat on my drive. I also have no access to inventory so I dont know if we have a prop for a 1978 short wheel base Land Rover.... enjoy

Is this a Bristol?

Na, I'm often spotted collecting around Bristol but we are based down in Poole, Dorset and also a depot in Rugby.

Some cars I'd love to get my hands on and just down the road (well 30 miles!) like the Granada and the Audi 1/200 avant!

They meant Bristol Car, not the place.

I thought it was a BMW?

The Granada come in to us as scrap, we got it running and put it up for auction starting at £300, unfortunatly no one bid so it was stripped just this week

Look at that Rover 1 series and tell me you’d feel safe in even the slightest fender bender.

That's a shame - good you try and save stuff though!

Interesting thread, thanks!
