The grammar in the thread title?

Sorry......silly

On a more serious note, I recall a long debate (by letter) in Car magazine about the virtues of windscreen wipers and a water gully on the inside of the car!!

Active noise canceling. Surely possible with higher end cars and multi speaker sound systems?

Rain sensor automatically closing sunroofs and windows when it rains - I assume I invented this idea?

Microphone/speaker system so that people in the back can hear people in the front whom they're conversing with, and vice versa.

Exhaust capture system for ICE cars so that nothing is emitted into the air.

You open your car door, it remembers the max distance to which you open it, and until it's closed, that becomes the limit for which it will allow the door to swing to.

Useful in carparks, on windy days, on inclines etc. No more parking dints, whipped windy slams and so on.
Love this one, that'd be really useful

Another belter and pretty much a doddle already in current cars. I wonder if it's blocked by some kind of legislation.

I swear this was on a Skoda SUV I rode in back in 2019. Bigger than the Karoq I think.
I was in the back and could hear the driver and passenger so clearly and almost in stereo.

ETA: it was in Czech Republic

If you can get parking sensors that detect all around the car, even ones that detect how close you are to kerbing your wheels.

Could they not be used to stop the doors opening beyond whatever is next to them? Similar to what's suggested above but they detect the surroundings and won't swing open into a wall, or car that was where when you parked.

CRV has that option on it, though the rear is mainly looking in your parking zone so not sure how useful but saved wifey when someone reversed into her and then claimed she drove into them. 30s stored after a "crash" Honda access it though, not you (2016 model she had).

Steering wheel control, similar to the lane change one that warns you when there is a vehicle in your right offside to prevent you pulling out. Except this one once you have passed a car in the inside lane pulls the steering to the left to make you go back into the empty lane, unless you really really resist hard. Prevents MLMs.

School run mode. Peppa Pig flags pop up from all four corners of the vehicle to indicate you are on a school run and need a wide berth due to loss of normal senses.

I recall seeing some US minivans like the Honda Odyssey & Toyota Sienna having that feature; it’s called something like EasyTalk or CabinTalk.
