Spain (costa del sol) - early November
Discussion
Going to Spain in early November, I know its not going to be roasting hot (like the summer holidays when we normally go!) Will have a car so happy to drive for an hour...
Looking for suggestions for activities with 2 kids under 10 near Marbella?
So far....
Gibraltar
Selwo Aventura (zoo)
Anyone know what the weather will be like (thinking still good enough for shorts and tshirts.?
Other activities to suggest....
Thanks

You could add Ronda to the list of places to visit. The road up to there from the coast around Marbella is 'interesting'. Then on into the Parque Nacional at Grazalema for spectacular scenery and maybe some glimpses of interesting wildlife.
Just a word to the wise. Lots of the family run restaurants in Marbella shut up shop for the month of November to take their annual holidays.
As far as clothes go, what twig said. I normally take a pullover when we go out in the evening. You may or may not need it, but better safe than sorry. November is the time when it starts to be a toss up whether you eat outside or inside.
Take the kids to a 'chiringuito' at the weekend and have paella for lunch. If you can find one that does an arroz negro, that should impress them!

Ronda. Utterly beautiful, historic, stunning geography and even has a marvellous bakery shop in Plaza Del Socorro. Also the marvellous A-397 from Marbella
Add Colomares Monument if near Benalmádena ... it's genuinely worth a couple of hoursAlso, if doing Rhonda then go another 40 mins to Setenil de Las Bodegas
(in PH fashion the roads from Marbella area to Rhonda and Setenil de Las Bodegas are great fun !!!)
Also, worth going to Estepona, Duquesa and Sotogrande - all within an hour of Marbella

A drive up to Cordoba might be doable. That's a really special place. just amazing. 1000 years ago, it was the most important city in the world. Where the European traders met the African/Arabic/Eastern traders. Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
