Hello everyone!

Firstly, not too sure if this is the right place to post this therefore please correct me if I'm in the wrong section.
Secondly, please ignore any spelling mistakes, English isn't my first language but I am trying my best.

So to the point - I've been involved in a accident on a motorbike in late 2020, I went with solicitor that also gave me a hire bike, my insurer was informed about what has happened and never spoke to them again. The accident wasn't my fault and I was paid out by solicitor and they took their cut about two months ago, does my future car insurers need to know about this accident as there isn't really a option for this on comparison sites and I'm too afraid that I'll put something in wrong and get my insurance premiums up higher as it wasn't really a insurance claim...

My motorbike has been written off, I got paid out for that after a month of the accident. The case then was on going to court for personal injury and that's what I received about two months ago.

In case anyone says to ring up and ask, I'm afraid my English skills might not be good enough for that yet...
Side note - I have not been on road since the hire bike went back, but have been thinking about doing my car licence this year.

The usual question is whether you have had: "...any motoring accidents, claims or convictions, regardless of fault, in the last 5 years".

Even if you didn't make an insurance claim, and even if the accident wasn't your fault, you have still had an accident and so need to declare it.

Your English seems perfectly fine, by the way. smile
